Let’s Do This: The Perfect Time and the Perfect Method.
Did you ever want to start something? You wanted to start something real bad. For example, say you want to talk to that hottie Or you have that awesome business idea that you’re itching to start. Maybe you hate your job, want to tell your boss off, and get a new one. So when is the perfect time to do it? It’s now.
Some people say there is no such thing as a perfect time. Well, I guess there is a perfect time. It’s now or soon as possible. If you keep putting it off, you’ll never get around to do it.
I had “the scratch” to do this blog a few months ago. I never seriously thought about doing it. But I always wanted to go back into blogging again, and I didn’t want to write about my personal life. I wanted to find a niche. So I finally found a niche, but I had a million and one excuses to not to get started.
You might know what those excuses were. “I don’t have the time.” “People might give me negative feedback.” “People might not even visit my site.” “I’ll have nothing to write about later.” “I’m going to have haters.” “I’m too busy.” “I have to build up my writing skills first.” And so on.
But you know, I realized that if I didn’t start one now, I’ll never do it. So I started my first step: researching. Then over time, I finally created this site. Now I’m just on my little journey to meet my goals for this blog.
Another example from my life is when I tried to leave my first, crappy job. I really hated the job, but I was afraid to leave. After waiting around for a LONG time (3 years or so), I finally gathered up my courage to leave and find a new job.
Then I hated the next job too. So I left that job in less than a year. What was the result of that? I more than doubled my salary and love where I work now. So what about you? If I can do it, you can do it too. Are you ready? If you feel a strong urge to do something, then that means you’re ready.
What if it’s something totally new, something you never done before? Don’t you need the perfect method to start it? Don’t you need to research a ton? Well, it’s true things need certain preparation. But there is no such thing as a perfect method, and there is a such thing as too much preparation. Just do the basic preparation and jump in. Look like an idiot. Get away from your comfort zone. Expose yourself and face failure. There’s no better way to learn.
